Asiyekujua hakuthamini......

Asiyekujua hakuthamini...... meaning, he or she who doesn't know you, doesn't value you.

For the last 1month, our country, Kenya has been suffering from skirmishes set about by the decision of the Electoral Commission of Kenya (ECK). We as Kenyans went to the poll and chose leaders who we thought had the best interests of the country, and us as Kenyans at heart. Unfortunately that is not the case.

What are the interests of the local Kenyan? I believe I speak for most, if not all, that Kenyans love peace, and loved the concept of "unity", where there would have been "one tribe" that is Kenya. The saddest fact is that this is not the case. Our leaders have propagated disunity and suspicions amongst our people so as to sponsor their agendas. Through inciteful utterances a local Kenya has become hateful and suspicous of the neighbours he/she has lived with for a long time.

These people who we have chosen have not bothered to calm down the masses, and instead, live in luxury, earning their salaries, and other allowances, ignoring the plight of the common people who have been displaced, killed and maimed in these skirmishes. In fact one would think they are happy with the current problem. Because they are "through with us", they do not care what appertains to us, the local Kenyans.

Truth be told, our leaders do not know their constituents, their needs and also their vision for this country. If they knew they would have been the first to stand up and against these clashes. We chose leaders who are unfortunately very selfish, not selfless, short sighted, and greedy.

GOD HELP US ALL.
